The Investment of Learning.

I happen to catch this news piece on the raising cost of school tuition. One really doesn’t have to go to college if one's career choice is not a career where a degree and training in that field is highly required, i.e. a surgeon, dentist, and doctor.

We are in the revolution of the internet. Mass of amounts of information is available at our figure tips. Surly if one can learn to make things like bombs, one can also learn about law for a number of years. (Prisoners have being doing this forever and if not for crazy laws, could take the bar and pass.) Than work there way into doing pro bono work. Or putting that skill on a resume and getting in at a law firm.

There are many ways to your chosen path. People talk a lot about school. But if your chosen path only makes about $60,000 a year and your time in school is going to cost $100,000 and up, than that doesn't sim like a sensible investment.

Not mention that there are plenty of successful people thriving with out a college degree. Some thriving beyond imagination. All with out that expensive piece of paper.

Let me make it clear I am not saying don’t go to college. I am saying evaluate you chosen field, step back to see if there are other pathway to take to get to your chosen field.
